ADVOCACY AND AWARENESS PROGRAM AT PUNAKHA AND WANGDUE | Organization for Youth Empowerment

BJTF successfully conducted a two days advocacy and awareness program as part of the project ‘Enhancing Youth Employability through Meaningful Engagement’ funded by European Union with support from Helvetas at Punakha and Wangdue Dzongkhag. The advocacy and awareness program covered TTI Khuruthang, Punakha Central School, Ugyen Academy and Bajothang Higher Secondary Schools.

The advocacy program was conducted to raise awareness and to bring about a positive mindset change regarding skilled jobs. BJTF also disseminated useful information on the labor market trend and opportunities. The accompanying inspirational entrepreneurs also motivated the students through their personnel experience sharing.

BJTF would like to thank the  volunteer   speakers Colonel Kezang Choedon (Proprietor of Chuniding food, Chuniding Resort and Folk Heritage restaurant), Mrs. Ugyen Dema (Proprietor of Drubchuu Resort, Punakha) and Mr. Dhan Kumar Shyangden, CEO of Eco Waste Solution for their invaluable time and wisdom.
