UNESCO Madanjeet Singh School of Green Energy Technology (UMSGET) at Pondicherry University, India is inviting Bhutanese applicants for a full scholarship to pursue M.Tech in Green Energy Technology for the Academic year 2023-2024

Eligibility Criteria

  1. B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical/Biotechnology/Environmental Engineering with at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination OR
  2. M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Material Science and Mathematics/Environmental Science/, Nanoscience/Photonics/ with at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination OR
  3. Post-graduate degree in Science under 10+2+3+2 years of study or its equivalent with specialization in any of the following disciplines; physics, chemistry, materials sciences, Nanoscience, Biotechnology OR
  4. Four years of Engineering programs under a 10+2+4 pattern of education with any of the following engineering specialization or their equivalent; electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Materials, Geology, Hydrometeorology, civil, biotechnology, chemical, Environment

Selection criteria: Country-wise preliminary selection and nomination should be completed by the respective SAF chapters based on the eligibility criteria, and keeping gender equality. The final selection of the nominated candidates will be done by the admission committee constituted at the Department of Green Energy Technology, Pondicherry University.

Emoluments: Admitted students shall be given a full course fee including tuition, registration, examination, University hostel accommodation charges, group medical insurance, and an annual contingency grant of Rs. 10,000/- to support study-related expenses. Also, reimbursement of one-time onward and return economy class, shortest route air travel expenses, subject to a maximum of Rs. 30,000/– shall be made, and a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,500/- towards living expenses shall be given.

Adherence: the academic program advertised here complies with the rules and regulations of Pondicherry University for the entire duration of the study.

The selected candidate will be notified by email or call from the head office of SAF Chapter Bhutan. A copy of documents for the selected candidate shall be maintained at each SAF Country Office for record, assessment, and acceptance into the program.

All the accepted candidates should produce original documents at the time of admission at Pondicherry University, India
